The Apron Stage Restaurant, a touch of France in the heart of Scotland

Having worked together in excess of twenty years we decided to open The Apron Stage in September 2006. The restaurant is very small - we seat 18 - the kitchen even smaller - but that means we do everything ourselves.

Jane’s domain is the front of house , while Shona (having spent her entire catering life out front) can now be found in the kitchen under the patient guidance of Tony Heath.

We hope that the restaurant is reminiscent of a wee place that you would stumble across in the back streets of a village in the south of France. We have tried to create a comfortable and pleasing atmosphere using subtle shades - a combination of French and Scandinavian influences.
